A blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache that's fermented in concrete and then aged in equal parts concrete, demi-muids and barriques, the 2022 Ventoux Quintessence looks to be one of the best examples I've tasted of this cuvée. Impressively expressive blueberries are joined by raspberries and a hint of black olive on the nose, while the palate is full-bodied, richly concentrated and supple, with hints of licorice and mint on the long, velvety finish.
