The 2020 Berg Roseneck is deep, pure, intense and utterly Breuer in style, particularly in context with the 2023s that stand next to it in this annual tasting at the domaine in Rüdesheim. The wine shows a first maturity and also the warmth and balance of the vintage yet also the iodine purity and flintiness of the steep and rocky soils above the Berg Rottland. On the palate, this is a finely juicy very elegant and balanced Roseneck with fine astringency and grippy salinity on the finish that is a bit austere but made to pair with the right dishes.
