Karaktär

Inbjudande komplex doft med inslag av björnbär, plommon, nypon, salvia, eukalyptus, vitpeppar och mynta. Kraftfull, robust, komplex och smakrik med tydlig men balanserad tanninstruktur. Lång fruktdriven eftersmak med en tydlig mineralitet.

Tillverkning

Druvorna skördades för hand. De avstjälkades och pressades skonsamt och musten fick sedan jäsa i rostfria ståltankar. Druvorna macererar ungefär fyra veckor. Den malolaktiska jäsningen sker i ekfat. Vinet har lagrats ungefär 30 månader i mestadels stora slavonska ekfat, men en mindre del av vinet har lagrats i franska barriques. Vinet är ofiltrerat.

Passar till

Serveras vid 16-18°C till rätter av lamm, nöt eller vilt, gärna med inslag av svamp. nVinet passar också utmärkt till lagrade hårdostar.

Information

Baroloviner från Serralunga d'Alba har ofta mer fruktkoncentration än de som produceras längre västerut i till exempel La Morra och byn Barolo.

Drink Date: 2027 - 2055 Fruit for this wine comes from a three-hectare parcel in Serralunga d'Alba near the village, with south and southwestern exposures in a small amphitheater. The soils in this area are older and thus more evolved, but they always create wines of strong character. The Vietti 2021 Barolo Lazzarito is easy to identify thanks to its salty mineral finish, which is almost metallic in taste, and its bright hints of sweet rosemary and wild herb. These delicate high notes form pretty framing to a dark core of elegant fruit. The estate counts five vineyards in Serralunga d'Alba, but Lazzarito is the only MGA bottling
